Experienced website designer, HTML coder wanted for award winning studio. Self-motivated individual with minimum 3 years experience and an exceptional portfolio, well organized and able to work on mulitple assignments simultaneously.
We are seeking a candidate that is highly motivated, interested in great results but also enjoys the process, have a solid work ethic, and be fast but accurate. Flash is desirable but not required. Experience should include website design with at least 10 current URL's online.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years expertise in hand-coding HTML, JavaScript, and DHTML.
- 1-2 years experience with XML, XSL and XSLT highly desirable.
- Expert level, working knowledge of PHP and MySQL but not as an application developer-only as a designer.
- 2-3 years in-depth CSS experience, especially implementing CSS-based page layouts.
- Proficiency in identifying and solving cross-browser compatibility issues relating to HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, and CSS.
- Experience with content management systems and version control systems is also a plus.
- Open source E-commerce and CMS development experience is a plus.
- Website design production, building HTML templates from approved layouts.
- Graphic design production for web.
- Must be able to take directions and pay attention to all details.
- Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage work load, and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
- Must be an effective problem solver. Comes up with creative solutions and considers many alternative solutions to each problem.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
- Fluent in HTML and CSS, and full knowledge of their capabilities and limitations.
- Use Adobe Photoshop.
- Website content updates.
The candidate must possess excellent grammatical skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, is key to success in this position as well as creativity and strong attention to detail. Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively under pressure and balance speed and quality.
Experience with ASP, JSP, .NET and MS SQL a plus.
Working knowledge of Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and ImageReady required.
Familiarity with Internet best practices and emerging technologies, including web services, syndication, tagging, search engine optimization, and wikis is a plus.
Ability to perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
